What You Will Learn

1. Initial Configuration and Password Recovery

Perform initial setup on Cisco routers and switches.

Configure hostnames, passwords, and IP addresses.

Recover lost passwords using password recovery techniques.

2. Switching Technologies

VLANs: Create and manage VLANs, configure trunk ports, and implement inter-VLAN routing.

STP (Spanning Tree Protocol): Understand and configure STP to prevent loops in the network.

VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol): Learn how to synchronize VLAN information across switches.

EtherChannel: Configure link aggregation for increased bandwidth and redundancy.

3. Switch Security

Port Security: Restrict access to switch ports based on MAC addresses.

PortFast and BPDU Guard: Optimize and secure switch ports for end devices.

4. Redundancy and High Availability

HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol): Configure gateway redundancy for uninterrupted network access.

5. DHCP Configuration

Configure DHCP servers for IPv4 and IPv6.
